IMPORTANT MEMBER UPDATE

Following the government announcement we are forced to close again, we assume this is likely to be until beginning of March 2021 according to latest Government guidelines. We are closely monitoring the situation and will act according to the laws and regulations.

Below we have outlined what will happen next for the two types of memberships we run:

Direct Debit Members:
Ashbourne, who are the company who manages the memberships, will write out to you shortly with the 3 options they will offer:

Option 1

Continue to pay your Direct Debit (DD) as normal so that the club can retain our staff, reinvest in the facilities and continue to provide the gym. If you are happy with this there is no action required by you. We will also make sure that you receive a thank you for your on-going support once things go back to normal.

Option 2

Continue to pay your DD on the due date, but pay 50% of the monthly payment to support the gym as above. To arrange this option please email Ashbourne membership management services memberships@ashbournemanagement.co.uk  Please provide your full name and address, which UF site you are a member of.

Option 3

Freeze your DD payments until the gym is reopen. Please do not cancel your direct debit with your bank as this with result your account defaulting and your access to the gym will be stopped once the gym is reopened. To arrange this option please email Ashbourne membership management services memberships@ashbournemanagement.co.uk  Please provide your full name and address, which UF site you are a member of.

Pay in advance memberships
Once we are able to reopen we will add the period for which you have not been able to use the membership to your expiry date (starting from the 5th of January 2021).
If your membership expires during this period we will add the days that you were unable to use our facility and make them available to you when we reopen so you do not miss out on any days the gyms were shut.

In short you should not cancel your direct debit and instead select one of the three options above.

We appreciate that due to the current situation some may not be able to take options 1 or 2 however the government has extended their furlough scheme till April 2021 that will mean they are paid of 80% their normal salary for employed workers and we are very grateful to those who have already sent messages offering to support us through this period. For those who can’t help we totally understand and hope this situation is resolved promptly. We are determined to protect our staff, our members and our business and when we reopen and are in a position to do so we will make sure we do something special to say thank you to those who can stand by us.

Aside from the practicalities above we would like to take this opportunity to wish our members all the best during this period as they deal with their own personal challenges and hope that you and your families can stay safe, remain healthy and happy.
