Equality, Diversity, and Code of Conduct Policy

 

At UltraFlex, we are fully committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all members, staff, and visitors. As part of our dedication to equality and diversity, we maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy toward any form of discrimination,  inappropriate or unreasonable behavior. This policy, in conjunction with our Code of Conduct, outlines the standards expected from every member. By joining UltraFlex all members agree to uphold these values.

 

  1. Zero Tolerance for Discrimination

 

We believe in creating an environment where all individuals, regardless of their background, feel valued, respected, and safe. Discrimination of any kind—whether based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, nationality, or any other protected characteristic—will not be tolerated.

 

Discriminatory behavior that is not accpetable at Ultraflex includes, but is not limited to:

 

  • Using any offensive language, slurs, or making degrading comments to other members or our staff.

 

  • Conducting in any campaign of Harassment, bullying, or intimidation against other members or our staff.

 

  • Deliberately seeking to exclude or treat differently any individual or group of persons  based on personal characteristics.

 

Any member reported to be in possible violation of this standard will be subject to an immediate investigation by us, with potential consequences including summary termination of membership and being restricted from entry to all Ultraflex gyms, clubs and affiliates nationally.

 

  1. Code of Conduct Compliance

 

As a member of UltraFlex, you are requested  to adhere to our comprehensive Code of Conduct, which reflects our commitment to a safe, positive, and respectful gym environment. This includes behavior both on and off the gym premises when engaging with our community, whether in person or online.

 

Key expectations within the Code of Conduct include:

 

  • Respect for Ultraflex itself, its Equipment and Facilities:Members are expected to treat Ultraflex with respect and permit it to provide its services to other members without interference or nuisance and ensure that it operates all  gym equipment and property with care and attention, ensuring that it remains in good condition for others. This includes proper use, timely return of equipment, and maintaining a clean environment by wiping down equipment after use.

 

  • Respect for Fellow Members:Every member is entitled to a harassment-free and welcoming gym experience. Any behavior that disrupts the comfort, safety, or well-being of others is unacceptable. This includes maintaining a courteous demeanor, allowing shared use of equipment, and respecting personal boundaries.

 

  • Respect for Staff:Our staff members are here to ensure your experience at UltraFlex is positive and productive. Disrespectful, aggressive, or non-compliant behavior toward staff will not be tolerated.

 

Failure to comply with any of these expectations may result in disciplinary action, ranging from warnings to the summary termination of membership, depending on the severity of the infraction.

 

  1. Respect for the Gym and Community

 

We take great pride in fostering a sense of community within our gym. As such, members are expected to act in a manner that demonstrates respect for both ourselves, the physical environment we have provided and the people who share this with.

 

This respect extends to:

 

  • Ultraflex itself including its Equipment and Resources: Members are required to show respect Ultraflex, its values, codes of conduct and its business in the provision of gym and affiliated services including treating its members and staff with respect and using the equipment its has provided properly with care and to share resources during busy times. This includes re-racking weights, avoiding unnecessary monopolisation of equipment, and reporting any damage or malfunction immediately.

 

  • Gym Cleanliness: All members should play a part in maintaining a hygienic gym space. This includes wiping down machines and equipment after use, disposing of waste responsibly, and keeping personal belongings in designated areas.

 

  • Fellow Gym Users:Members should be mindful of others’ workouts, respecting personal space, avoiding disruptive behavior, and offering assistance if required. This includes avoiding actions that could endanger others, such as improper use of equipment or ignoring gym safety guidelines. 

 

The concept of “respect” is intentionally broad, allowing UltraFlex to address any behaviors that may negatively impact our community or the gym environment. Failure to meet these standards may lead to immediate termination of your membership.

 

Enforcement and Disciplinary Actions

 

Violations of this policy or the Code of Conduct will be taken seriously. Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, UltraFlex reserves the right to take the following actions:

 

  • Verbal or Written Warning: For minor infractions, a warning may be issued to the member, outlining the behavior and advising of the necessity for future compliance.

 

  • Suspension of Membership:Repeated or more serious violations may result in a temporary suspension from the gym, during which the member will not be allowed access to any of the Ultraflex facilities.
  • Summary Termination of Membership:For significant violations, particularly those related to discrimination, harassment, or endangering the safety of others, UltraFlex reserves the right to terminate the membership without notice or refund. 

 

UltraFlex reserves full discretion in determining the appropriate course of action for any violations. Membership Summary termination decisions are final and may not be appealed.

 

Commitment to Continuous Improvement

 

At UltraFlex, we continually strive to improve our services and ensure our policies reflect best practices for maintaining an inclusive and respectful environment.

 

We encourage members to provide feedback and suggestions to enhance their experience. Should you encounter any issues or feel that our policies have not been upheld, we encourage you to report concerns to our management team.
